Maths - Fraction Relay

This week we had some fun outside practising our fractions.  We had a fraction relay.  Mrs Potts put us in teams and gave us a container.  She called out a quarter, or a half or a whole!  We had to run to the big blue buckets and fill it up with the right amount and bring it back to our team bucket.  We had someone at each blue box checking that we were measuring correctly! It was lots of fun!  We talked about a whole being more than a half and a half being more than a quarter.  It took lots of cups to fill our bucket but it didnt take many ice cream containers to fill  the bucket!
